Kate Bush on canvas!

A musical heroine of my era – the first woman ever to reach No.1 in the UK charts with a song she wrote herself (Wuthering Heights, of course, in 1978) – the incredible Kate Bush had to be near the top of my 'icons' to-do list.
While I rarely use black in a portrait, this subject quite simply demanded it (and then some).
Shown here at three stages of progress culminating in the completed version, the painting is 18x24in (46x61cm) oil on canvas.
The original is being held back for exhibition later in 2022, but may be reserved beforehand – in the meantime it will be on display in the studio. Prints can be ordered.
