The latest portrait in my 'Music Icons' series is of one of my all-time favourites... it's George Michael.
The much-missed George clearly wanted to be painted, as the process – which can be seen here at several stages – was almost as smooth as his songs (my personal pick of which is Praying for Time, in case you were wondering). I really enjoyed painting this.
As with others in the series, this original (18x24in oil on canvas) won't be released for sale until the autumn, though prints will be available soon (and I'll be keeping a copy for myself!)
