A Prince in the studio

The latest completed* work in my Music Icons series is the legendary Prince.
The last brush strokes went on at about 4.30 this afternoon, and I say completed* because once he's dry he'll need scanning, his bottom (edge) still needs painting and then that'll have to dry, and then he'll get several coats of varnish. So you see, 'completed' isn't quite complete. We're looking at a good couple of months, at least.
But that's fine because, as with the other originals in the series, this one won't be released for sale until October when they go on exhibition – although prints of Prince will be available as soon as I can get him to the printers.
Meanwhile, he joins the others on display in the studio (seen here through the window) for the rest of Dorset Art Weeks (and beyond) – just no touching the wet paint!
