My current arty goings-on have again made the local press (a round of applause for their headline) after the Bridport News reporter grilled me by 'phone for a good 15 minutes. I was quite nervous about how it would end up in print, but it turns out to be fine... although saying I 'teamed up' with the Take That star could be seen as stretching the truth!

The Athelhampton exhibition is now underway and Friday evening's Preview went really well. There were even representatives there from Canvas For The Mac, the charity campaign for which I painted the little, now autographed, Howard Donald portrait. That painting is (securely) on display until November when it will be taken to join other canvasses for the launch of an auction to raise money for Christchurch Hospital's Macmillan Unit.

Do get to Athelhampton if you can, not just for my exhibition (a word of warning, the gallery is on the top floor of the West Wing and the final set of stairs is twisty and tight), but because the whole place is a delight – including the wonderful Elizabethan gardens. My aim is to be there several times over the next couple of months, as my show will now stay on there at least until the end of November to take in the Food & Drink Fair... just in time for Christmas gift-getting!
