Bit of a departure here, with less of a focus on the face and more on the placement of the subject in this – for her – highly-appropriate setting. (It still looks like her, though.)
The photos used as reference were ones I took myself, so I knew exactly what I was aiming for... lots of leaf!
The painting is quite large, at 30x40in (just over a meter tall), and was on show at the recent Art@Eype. It has since gone to the subject's family.
