Young Elton

My first completed 'celeb' portrait of 2022 – it's a young Elton John.
Now he's off to the printers for professional scanning (so that prints can be made), then he'll get several coats of varnish to shine him up nicely – you may notice I've made him as unflashy as possible in the painting, as I like to get at the person behind the trappings... though he wouldn't be Elton without a little specialness to his spectacles.
As with the Kate Bush completed before Christmas, this 18x24in oil-on-canvas original won't be released for sale until the autumn, after exhibition season... though you'll be able to order prints-on-canvas or possibly even posters very soon. Please message me with any enquiries.
